i think music should not be free,
or else who ever created it doesn't get the pay
and then we won't have the music to listen. music
is not created for profit, but its a way to keep it going.

Music should not be free because people who write music have to spend a lot of effort.
Therefore, they deserve to receive money. As the result, we should pay for music.

Should music be free? Empty Not really...

Music is the same as art. You have to pay to have a painting, to have an architect sketch your house, to get the design of the new Prada winter collection. It is simply that these products do not come from your original ideas. It is like when students have to do bibliography after using research for a subject. The same reason goes to music. Not just anyone could suddenly come up with such a great song, and not just anyone could actually write songs. The writer has to have something in return for their work, or music has no value in the society at all. People with gifted talent or the ability to create music should be repaid when they give their songs to the producer, or they are just normal people like most of the people. Paying for music is a little exchange with all the hard work of the creators and the relaxation and joy others can have.

Should music be free? Empty Music is overpriced

Post  Admin Mon Apr 20, 2009 3:24 pm

Let's face it, there is a huge market for pirated music overseas. DVD's, CDs cost $25 and $15 dollars respectively in first world countries. Sure, people are going to pirate these items for $1 because people in Asia cannot afford anything more expensive then this. Are not the exorbant prices of music justification that record makers are merely trying to maximize their profits? Their high costs have undoubtedly encouraged music piracy.

Yes, pirated stuff are for those who could not afford expensive stuff. But pirated music is not the best quality music. I believe a songwriter wouldn't want his/her music to be in a bad quality CD.If you want best quality music, you got to pay for it. When you pay for music, you are buying the music to listen to it and paying the people who worked so hard to produce music to listen. If you buy the original CD, it means you truly appreciate the producers' work because you are willing to pay a high price for it. Music is like everything, when someone makes it, if you want it, you pay for it.

I think music should not be free. Musicians put alot of effort to make a music and if we don't pay for it, it is not fair for the musicians. This is like industrial cycle. We listen to music, we entertain and we pay it's price. And if we don't pay for music, there will be no more music in this world. Because we need MONEY to make music.

I think music should not be free. Most of the singers earn money by selling their CDs. They also record the same music millions of times to produce the best music for the listeners. So, music isn’t just something to hear but it's also the efforts that singers put. If music is free for everybody, then no one would buy CDs but rather download music from internet. This is a sort of taking their income.

Music should not be free.
Because the people who wrote music spent their precious time, money and energy to create.
We can't just listen to it freely no matter how much they devoted their skills in music.
They tried hard to produce best quality music, we should consider their hard work.

Should music be free? Empty Music should not be free

Musicians ,even if they don't get pay, will eventually compose a song on their own for their family, friends, in any possible situations. Nothing can stop them from getting involve with music. It just that if music is free, then there will no longer exist a job call musician, singer and many other jobs involve in making profits with music.
In worst scenario, music will disappear from people's life.

I think music should not be free because music is the same as money to the musicians such as singers and composers. They put lots of effort and money to compose a piece of music. However, if we just download the music from the Internet, not buying the CDs, then the musicians don’t have enough money to make the CDs and albums so they can’t publish the music anymore. Finally, we can’t listen music.

Music in this world is like a tool to heal people's soul, food to feed and soul, helps us relax, etc. It will take more than 2 all days to tell how good music is. Take a look at history of music, those people like Mozart are brilliant, he created fine music at that time but he ended up his life in a small very poor house. Many kinds of music now are in the world trade. I think we should pay for music, but in low prices as the recognition for the talent of those who create it
